In celebration of the 16th Bradford International Film Festival, and the recent award to Bradford of the designation UNESCO City of Film, the Midland Hotel introduces Private screenings of two Films made in Bradford on 20th March 2010.

Saturday 20th March Lunchtime join The Midland Hotel for a superb 3 Course Lunch with Coffee, followed by a screening of ‘A Private Function’ starring Lifetime Achievement Award Winner 2008 and past guest of the Midland Hotel, Michael Palin.
Saturday 20th March Evening why not join The Midland Hotel to celebrate the life and works of the legendary British actress Jean Simmons. ‘Life at the Top’ was filmed in Bradford in 1965 and parts were actually filmed in the hotel. Jean returned to the Midland Hotel in 2003 and was interviewed by Harry Gration for BBC’s Look North, before receiving a Lifetime achievement award at the Film Festival. Sadly Jean passed away on 22nd January this year aged 80.
The Interview will feature before Life at the Top at a specially arranged screening.
