By Rail

Leeds boasts a station that befits the city’s status as the leading commercial centre in the North and the fastest growing city in the UK. With a multi-million pound facelift, travel to Leeds by train has become faster, more reliable and more frequent. The interior of the station has been transformed with dramatic improvements to the station environment, facilities, access and information.
With more than 50,000 passengers travelling through Leeds every day, the City Station is the busiest outside London. Located in the heart of this compact city, once you arrive you are only a short walk away from all of the city’s major venues.

There is a frequent and direct rail service from London, with the quickest journey time just over 2 hours. GNER (Great North Eastern Railways) operates a service between Leeds and London Kings Cross, operating almost half-hourly in peak-times.

There are also regular services between the North East, the Midlands, Scotland, the South-West and across the Pennines. Virgin Trains run frequent services between many of Britain’s major cities – Newcastle, Birmingham, Sheffield, Bristol, Cardiff and Scotland.

By Road

Located at the crossroads of the M62 and the M1, with the A1/ M1 link, Leeds is easy to reach from, all directions.

Whichever way you enter Leeds City Centre you will find the City Centre Loop, with its own easy to follow road signs. Each junction is named and numbered – all to help you get to any part of the city with the minimum of fuss.

By Air

Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) is situated approximately 8 miles to the North of Leeds. Scheduled services operate between the main “hub” airports of London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin and Paris allowing world-wide connections from LBIA.

By Ferry
