KAPLAN, one of the world’s leading providers of education, has chosen Well Met Conferencing’s Carnegie Village at Leeds Metropolitan University as their accommodation of choice for their 2012 summer school.
Over 100 students and staff will be based at the venue from the 1st July to the 12th August 2012 enjoying full board accommodation in Carnegie Village encompassing all meals, class rooms, sporting facilities and the student’s union.
Kate Davis, Business Development Manager for Well Met Conferencing, said:
“Carnegie Village is in a league of its own in terms of student accommodation. As well as recently being awarded an AA 3* rating, the accommodation is spacious and flexible yet still incorporates a personal edge to give a home from home atmosphere.
“Dating back to before 1824 and set in 100 acres of beautiful parkland, Carnegie Village is the quintessential university setting, perfect for inspiring any event. And although situated in a stunning historical setting, the facilities are yet extremely modern, with exceptional amenities including free wifi, parking and some of the best sports and fitness facilities in the UK.
“The accommodation is also just a short walk from Headingley town centre which is buzzing with retail outlets and a famously vibrant nightlife.”
Sandra McCord, Operations Manager for Kaplan International Centres, said:
“I was initially looking for a venue in Manchester but Well Met provided us with a fantastic show-round and have an excellent history of hosting summer schools. The standard of accommodation and teaching facilities are high, the campus is safe and picturesque and the customer service of the Well Met team really made it an easy decision. The international reputation of Carnegie Sports facilities was also a major attraction.
“We are looking forward to heading north as we expand our summer school locations in 2012 and Leeds Met will be a superb addition to our existing portfolio of schools in London and the South West of England.”
