The Thackray Museum, housed in a beautifully restored Victorian grade 2 listed building, offers a unique setting for your conference, event or exhibition. The Museums’ conference suite offers a choice of 6 adaptable conference rooms, which can be tailored to meet your specific needs. From a boardroom for 12, to an auditorium equipped with a wide variety of audio visual equipment, and seating for up to140, our conference centre is fully adaptable to suit the requirements of your event.

Award winning visitor attraction the Thackray Museum opened in 1997 and is housed in a former 19th century workhouse that is now a grade 2 listed building. The Museum is on two floors and has nine permanent galleries housing imaginative displays on a wide range of health and medical topics drawn from the past 200 years. Two of the most popular attractions are a recreated Victorian street in Leeds that demonstrates the poor sanitary conditions in which people lived – complete with smells and sounds! And the interactive Life Zone! Discover how your body works and about staying healthy.
The Museum is open daily 10 – 5pm visitors need to allow between 2 and 3 hours for their visit.
