DLG Architects has announced that building works have started on site to deliver a major extension to the prestigious Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The news comes within months of the revised planning consent being achieved by DLG.

Yorkshire-based RN Wooler & Co Ltd began construction work this month to extend a further 34 bedrooms and additional leisure facilities to the award winning hotel. Appointed by the independently owned Rudding Park Hotel earlier this year, DLG is leading the development team and expects the building programme will be completed by November next year.

This represents a strong commitment by the owners of Rudding Park to continue to improve the fantastic facilities that the hotel has to offer. Developing the detailed design of the new extension to be in keeping with the original Grade II listed hotel was the original challenge. We are now turning our efforts towards making sure that the new buildings are constructed whilst respecting the requirements of guests and the operational needs of the hotel.”
