Intuitive and user-friendly, the re-engineered Royal Armouries International plc (RAI) website provides all the information you need to plan an event with just a click of your mouse.
And that event can range from a conference for 1500 to a banquet for just 30 guests.
Whether you’re a professional event organiser or managing an event for the first time, the website guides you through all 10 of the facilities that RAI plc can offer.
These range from SAVILES Hall – the largest and newest venue in Leeds – through to intimate rooms such as the Edwardian Gun Room and the Oriental Gallery.
The site shows how each of these can be used to stage any conference, banquet or exhibition, whether individually or in a variety of combinations.
Each facility is shown in 360 degrees and has an accompanying showreel and pictures demonstrating it in use. SAVILES Hall, for instance, features not only Dragon’s Den celebrity Theo Paphitis but also Lennox Lewis and Gordon Brown.
Full details on how the facility can be used, including a range of suggested seating and floor plans, are provided together with a list of its features – power supplies, media facilities, room dimensions and capacities.
The website also enables RAI plc to suggest how these facilities can be used together to suit particular requirements. For example, the Wellington Suite can accommodate up to 168 delegates for luncheon, can be combined with the Bury Theatre next door for high-profile presentations, lectures and product launches.
“Altogether there are nearly 5,000 separate elements on the new website but we’ve assembled them so that it’s very simple and easy to understand what we can offer,” says RAI marketing director Chris Owen.
“The previous site has worked very well for us but technology has moved on enormously and so we have to incorporate this into the next generation.
“We’ve also seen that a lot of organisations are now interested in building their own events and want to make it straightforward for the non- professional to be able to deliver an event to the highest standards.”
