Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel, Pontefract is getting ready to celebrate its 400th Birthday Anniversary in 2010!.

The Grade 2 listed building which was originally built in 1610 has been lovingly restored into a hotel with 22 Bedrooms, The Jacobean Pub and two glorious ballrooms for Weddings and events of up to 250 guests. The splendid grounds have recently won its first award.

However as Richard Metcalfe Managing Director describes he plans to give a present to the hotel which will be for all guests and residents to enjoy for years to come.

“The Restaurant with is beautiful Oak panelled walls will be transformed into 1610 – Steakhouse. A unique Restaurant where all main course dishes will be steak based be it Meat or Fish. A limited Menu means Fresh seasonal food changing daily.

A two Course Evening meal will only be £13.00 which in the current economic climate will allow our customers to enjoy excellent dining in beautiful surroundings on any day of the week, not just the weekend treat!. We are also building a lounge which will complement the new restaurant. Both, called 1610 are due to open in mid February 2009”
