The Mansion at Roundhay Park, Leeds, reopens this week, 7 September 2009, as an exclusive conference, business meeting and corporate event venue.
The grade II listed regency building dating from 1811 has undergone a £1.9m restoration and refurbishment to deliver a blue chip conference centre that is the match of the best city venues in the country.

With capacity for hosting major events for over 200 guests to discreet business meetings and lunches for 12 delegates and situated just minutes from Leeds city centre, The Mansion is proving a success even before opening its doors this week.
Twenty-four event bookings are confirmed this year, the very first taking place today, Monday 7 September, attended by over 70 delegates is to be held in the Colonnades Room.
Titled ‘Let’s Celebrate Surviving the Recession’, the event has been organised by Leeds based independent financial advisers Yvonne Goodwin Wealth Management and features the internationally renowned media commentator, Justin Urquhart Stewart of 7 Investment Management as guest speaker.
Alongside Justin, Yvonne Goodwin of Yvonne Goodwin Wealth Management and Tony Davies of Zurich International Bank will be offering their insight into the prospects for businesses as the region begins to look forward to improved trading conditions.

Note to Editor
It has taken seven months to restore The Mansion interiors to their original historic splendour, including the faithful repair of original architectural details such as decorative plaster cornices, wall panelling and architraves, mosaic and wooden floors and a sweeping grand central staircase.
Simultaneously the building has been specified throughout with state-of-the-art facilities demanded of a contemporary function venue. These include CCTV, swipe card security and soundproof insulation of principle function spaces and the installation of WiFi, teleconferencing and wide screen presentation facilities.
The same exacting attention to detail has been invested in furnishing and finishing touches, from bespoke made carpets and curtains to hand-selected antique furniture, silvered mirrors, glass pendant lamps and galleries of prints depicting Roundhay Park in bygone days.
The Mansion’s signature feature is a giant chandelier comprising 27,000 crystals suspended from a glass observatory spanning the central staircase which also incorporates an LED lighting system that can be programmed to a choice of over 500 colour swathes, effectively enabling the venue to be colour lit to match any event theme a client desires.
The design and restoration of The Mansion has been led by Leeds based event planning and venue management specialists Dine, the company behind some of the most successful historical event venues in Yorkshire such as Allerton Castle, Nostell Priory and Fountains Abbey.
Dine was appointed to re-launch and manage The Mansion by Leeds City Council in 2008 following a string of successful public-venue partnerships in the city that include Dine at the Town Hall, Leeds City Museum and The Carriageworks.
Dine has installed a dedicated operational team at The Mansion including Venue Manger, Restaurant Manger, Venue Chef and House Butler. For further information about the Mansion, visit www.dineinthemansion.co.uk
