Visitors arriving at Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium over the past few months can’t have failed to notice the magnificent development rising across the road from the towering East Stand.
The new Centenary Pavilion is edging ever closer towards its completion date of late next month, and Elland Road will soon be home to the largest dining facility in the region.
The new state of the art Conference and Exhibition centre is due for completion on September 17 with the first prestigious events commencing later that month.
Ideally located just 1.4 miles from Leeds Central railway station, adjacent to Junction 2 of the M621 motorway and within easy access of all major northern motorway networks, the Centenary Pavilion will offer pillar-free space of up to 1600 people theatre style and 1400 for a dinner.
Conference and Event manager Helen Briden said: “These are exciting times at Elland Road. The new Centenary Pavilion development changes by the day and is really taking shape now. It’s now possible to envisage the scale and quality of events we will be able to offer our clients, opening up new markets for Leeds United and the city of Leeds alike”.
Bookings are already being taken for the new Pavilion, which will also be divisible into two smaller suites, named after Allan Clarke and Mick Jones, two of the club’s heroes from the 1972 FA Cup final.
The official opening is scheduled for November 10.
