The Show, which is the only Meetings Industry Expo outside of London, was held on Tuesday 30th April at the Centenary Pavilion Leeds, and was attended by over 600 Meetings Industry Professionals from across the UK who enjoyed the spring sunshine and hospitality on offer.

Leeds shows it is an arena to deliver success to Business Visitors 30 Apr 2013

Leeds and Partners boosted the case for business visitors to make the most of the city at the UK’s only national meeting and events show outside of London which starts today [30th April].

Monarch Airlines' Expansion Continues with New Aircraft Delivery 15 Mar 2013

Leading scheduled leisure airline, Monarch has today taken delivery of a new Airbus A320 aircraft. The aircraft forms part of the airline’s expansion programme which will see the fleet grow in size from 32 aircraft in 2012, to 38 during this financial year to October 2013.

The new aircraft will be based at Leeds Bradford airport where Monarch is about to start its first full summer programme of flying to twelve new destinations. A second similar A320, to be delivered in April, will also be based at Leeds Bradford.

Bradford is Crowned as England’s Curry CapitalNarrowly pipped by Glasgow to the overall crown of Curry Capital of Britain, the bid presented by Bradford helped secure the city second place and title as England’s Curry Capital.

Peter Groves, Curry Capital of Britain Competition Organiser, said:

“Bradford presented the most creative bid out of all the cities, drawing on several aspects of the city to fully illustrate the impact curry houses and their culture have on the region and their local community.”

During the grueling judging process the public voted for their favourite restaurants in and around the city: Lahore Café Bar, Azeems (Keighley), Aagrah Shipley and Shimla Spice (Shipley), before voting for the city. more...
