POSITION – Head Housekeeper

SALARY – Competitive

LOCATION – The Queens Hotel, Leeds

YOUR BRIEF:

You will manage all aspects of cleaning and laundering for the hotel bedrooms, offices and public areas in line with budget, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are driven and our Company image and reputation for four star service is maintained. You’ll also be responsible for the launch of the fabulous ‘Q Club’, the unique selling product and the first executive club floor and lounge of it’s kind in the history of hotels in Leeds!

AS HEAD HOUSEKEEPER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Managing and ensuring the smooth operation of the Housekeeping Department – Agreeing, setting and driving housekeeping standards through leadership and communication – Coaching, developing and managing the housekeeping team to exceed customer expectations – The cleanliness of all public areas, bedrooms and offices. – Liaising on a regular basis with the Maintenance Department with regard to room maintenance – The purchase of all cleaning materials – Ensuring adequate stocks levels are maintained whilst controlling expenditure in line with company budget. – Maintaining a high level of quality control in all areas, through correct delegation to Supervisors – Ensuring the ‘QWay’ self-checking procedure is adhered to by the team – Visually auditing rooms to ensure Company standards are maintained. – Driving standards of appearance, ensuring the presentation of the team is immaculate both in uniform and personal image.

YOUR TALENTS:

• Previous experience as a Head Housekeeper gained from a similar background is essential.
• Ideally you will know your way around Front Office Based IT Systems
• Previous experience of leading, managing and developing a team
• You will be flexible and adaptable
• Be able to demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
