Operations Manager - City Inn Leeds - Opening Summer 2009 Friday 9th January 2009

With the opening of City Inn Leeds in the Summer 2009 we will increase our portfolio to 6 hotels in major UK city centre locations. As is the case with all City Inn hotels we design and build each hotel continually looking to develop our offering through innovation and technology with each new build. City Inn Leeds will be a fantastic addition to the portfolio with 333 bedrooms, 18 meeting rooms over two floors, our well established and critically acclaimed restaurant concept City Café with Al Fresco Terrace and a stunning sky lounge and destination bar.

To help bring this development to fruition we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity to take on a highly visible role and make your mark with a progressive hotel company, contributing to the successful opening of this hotel and positioning CITY INN as one of Leed’s leading hotels. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager and the other key members of the pre-opening project team – Sales, Marketing, HR and Development Finance – to ensure that the hotel opens on time achieving the level of standard and professionalism and service culture that any guest would expect from a City Inn hotel.

This is a hands-on and proactive role and offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to have operational responsibility for the hotel with direct line management responsibility, whilst developing business wide exposure and continuing to drive your skills to potentially become a General Manager of the future with City Inn.

You will be uncompromising where standards are concerned and have a proven track record of success in an Operational Management role within a quality driven hotel or similar environment. You will be a natural and confident communicator and have strong people management skills, coaching and developing your team to deliver excellent results. City Café is at the heart of our business and our restaurants continue to receive critical acclaim as destination restaurants within each city. Therefore, a keen interest in quality food and wine are prerequisites for this role. Strong Front Office Management experience would also be beneficial.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wishing to play an integral role in bringing a brand new hotel to the Leeds market, and building this hotel into a key destination for both business and leisure travellers. With two other hotels currently in development in Amsterdam and London it can be seen that the opportunities could be endless for the right candidate.
